How ShardStitch works with each tool.
See the actual handoff format and support boundary for each of 31 targets. Some read a project file, compatible clients can connect through MCP, and web chats use a pasteable packet; these are different paths, not a claim that every tool supports every integration.
Checked October 3, 2026: Roo Code's official repository was archived on May 15, 2026, and its README says the extension was shut down. Existing installations may still be in use; see the Roo Code migration guide before switching tools.
How to read the matrix: “Hand-off in” shows where the next session can pick up the packet; “MCP” distinguishes automatic, manual, and unavailable setup; “Session recovery” states whether ShardStitch can rebuild from local project evidence when the prior session cannot be resumed. Tool vendors control their sessions, ShardStitch does not repair a running or remote agent.
