At a glance
ShardStitch does not operate a cloud sync service for your code, conversations, project files, handovers, or project memory. The application has no product telemetry or behavioural analytics.
What is processed locally
ShardStitch may read the project information you ask it to recover or package, including git status, changed files, recent commits, local AI session records, project notes, dependency relationships, and ShardStitch memory files.
This processing happens on your hardware. ShardStitch writes generated handovers, adapter files, memory, and audit records to local storage or to your clipboard according to the action you choose.
What we do not collect
- Your source code or repository contents.
- Your AI conversations or generated handover content.
- Product usage analytics, crash telemetry, device fingerprints, or advertising identifiers.
- Your local project memory or dependency graph.
Website measurement
Cloudflare provides aggregate page-delivery statistics for the public website. When a visitor opens checkout, the checkout link also carries the originating ShardStitch page path in standard campaign parameters so Polar can attach that attribution to the checkout session and resulting order.
This website measurement does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, source code, chat content, or project data. Cloudflare processes normal web requests as our infrastructure provider, and Polar processes checkout and purchase information as described below.
Purchase and license data
Purchases are processed by Polar. Polar may collect the email address, payment details, tax information, and transaction records needed to complete the sale and deliver your license. The app sends license validation requests to Polar at activation and during a quiet periodic re-check. Those requests do not include your code, conversations, project files, notes, handovers, or project memory.
Payment card data is handled by the payment provider, not stored by the ShardStitch application.
Third-party tools
When you paste or inject a handover into Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Grok, or another AI tool, that tool processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. ShardStitch does not make that provider choice for you. For the broader risk of treating AI chat transcripts as durable project memory, see AI coding chat history is not safe project memory.
If you move a handover using Git, email, USB, AirDrop, cloud storage, or another channel, the privacy of that transfer depends on the channel you selected. Current ShardStitch recovery does not silently upload it for you.
Your control
You can inspect generated files, choose what to include in a handover, delete local ShardStitch files, or uninstall the software. Removing local files from your machine removes them from ShardStitch's reach because we do not retain a server copy.

Policy changes
We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date on this page. A future optional network feature will be documented before release; it will not change local recovery into silent cloud sync.
